Long Lellang Airport (IATA: LGL, ICAO: WBGF) is a small Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) airfield located in Long Datih, serving the community of Long Lellang and surrounding villages deep within the Kelabit Highlands of Sarawak, Malaysia. As a designated STOLport, its primary role is not tourism but to provide a critical lifeline for the remote, otherwise inaccessible communities of the interior. The airport is an essential component of Malaysia’s Rural Air Services (RAS) network, offering local residents reliable access to medical care, education, supplies, and transportation to larger towns, effectively connecting them with the rest of the country. Its existence is fundamental to the region's social and economic stability, reducing travel times from days of arduous overland or river journeys to a short flight.

Situated in a remote, mountainous part of Sarawak, the airport is not accessible by a conventional road network from major cities. For visitors, the only practical way to reach Long Lellang is by air. Upon arrival, there are no formal taxi services or public transportation options available. All onward travel to nearby villages or jungle lodges must be pre-arranged with local contacts, tour operators, or hosts, typically utilizing rugged 4x4 vehicles capable of navigating the unpaved logging tracks that serve as the area's primary roads.

Operations at Long Lellang Airport are exclusively domestic and handled by MASwings, the regional airline subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines. The airline operates DHC-6 Twin Otter turboprop aircraft, which are specifically designed for the short runway and challenging terrain of the highlands. Flights are infrequent and connect Long Lellang primarily with the coastal city of Miri (MYY) and the town of Marudi (MUR). Passenger volume is low, consisting mainly of local residents, government workers, and a small number of adventure tourists and trekkers. All flight schedules are highly susceptible to weather conditions, with delays and cancellations common during periods of heavy rain or low visibility.

Facilities at the airport are minimal, reflecting its function as a basic air link. The airfield consists of a single short runway and a small, simple terminal building. Inside, travelers will find a basic check-in counter, a small waiting area, and restroom facilities. There are no retail shops, food and beverage outlets, or passenger lounges. Travelers are strongly advised to bring their own snacks and water. It is recommended to arrive at least an hour before the scheduled departure. Due to the small aircraft used, strict luggage weight limits are enforced and should be confirmed with the airline beforehand. Any onward travel to major Malaysian destinations requires a connecting flight from a larger hub like Miri.
