Dumatubin Airport serves Langgur, ID.
Dumatubin Airport (WAPL), also known as Dominicus Dumatubun Air Force Base, is located in Langgur, Kai Islands, Maluku province, Indonesia. This facility, which operated as a public and military airport since the Japanese occupation during World War II, was officially closed for civil aviation on December 19, 2014. All commercial flights were subsequently moved to the newer Karel Sadsuitubun Airport (IATA: LUV, ICAO: WAPF).
Dumatubin Airport is *now used exclusively by the Indonesian Air Force*. It features a single concrete runway, designated 09/27, measuring 1,300 meters (4,265 feet) in length, and is situated at an elevation of 3 meters (10 feet) above mean sea level. Its former role as the principal airport for the Kai Islands was limited by its short runway and location within a residential area, hindering expansion for modern aircraft.
