• Lack of Facilities: There are no terminal facilities, amenities, or services typically found at an airport (e.g., restrooms, shops, security, customs).
• Bugs: Travelers should be prepared for numerous bugs, with headnets strongly encouraged during June, July, and August.
• No Formal Transportation/Parking: Access is exclusively via chartered small planes (air taxis), and there is no mention of public transportation connections or parking facilities. Winter access is also possible by snowmachine.
• Self-Sufficiency Required: Visitors must bring all personal belongings, including sleeping and dining equipment, and adhere to bear-resistant food storage regulations due to the remote nature of the area.

Orange Hill Airstrip is suitable for experienced backcountry travelers seeking direct access to a rugged wilderness area, but it comes with significant challenges due to the rudimentary nature of the airstrip itself and the complete lack of conventional airport services. Travelers should be prepared for a self-sufficient experience and be aware of the airstrip's deteriorating condition.
