Cranford Airport serves Cerritos, US.
Cranford Airport (US-2416), originally known as Artesia Airport, was built in 1945 in Cerritos, California, and renamed Cranford Airport on June 18, 1946,. It operated as a general aviation airport with two runways, one paved and one unpaved, and was a real estate investment for the Alley family after WWII,. The airport closed in 1953, with aerial views from October 1953 showing portions of the runway removed for new construction and the remaining runway marked with a closed "X" symbol. The site is now densely developed with housing and a retail shopping complex, though the angled alignment of a parking lot still hints at the former northeast/southwest runway,.
