Santa Rosa Municipal Airport / Steiner Field serves Santa Rosa, US.
Santa Rosa Municipal Airport, also known as Steiner Field (US-2383), was originally dedicated on May 18, 1929, and was considered one of the finest landing fields for a city of its size. It was officially named Steiner Field in 1937 after the late city manager Fred Steiner, though it was still commonly referred to as Santa Rosa Municipal Airport. The airport closed on December 8, 1941, by order of the Army due to World War II. After its closure, the land was acquired by the Indian Creek Lumber Company and the area was redeveloped into an industrial complex. Today, the site of the original Santa Rosa Municipal Airport has been densely redeveloped.
