Walters Ranch Landing Field (US-1653), located near Needles, California, was established between 1961 and 1965. It was depicted on the 1965 Los Angeles Sectional Chart with a 2,500-foot unpaved runway, and later on the 1970 USGS topo map with three unpaved runways and two small buildings. The airfield closed for unknown reasons between 1978 and 1988, as it was no longer shown on the 1988 Los Angeles Sectional Chart. As of 2022, aerial views still show three unpaved runways and some small buildings, including a remaining hangar, on the northeast side of the former airfield.
