Transwestern Pipeline Airfield 7 (US-1349), located near Mountainair, New Mexico, was one of several private airfields owned by the Transwestern pipeline company, built adjacent to compressor stations along their pipeline. The airfield, featuring a single 7,600-foot east/west runway, was likely constructed between 1970-1971 and was depicted as active with a 7,300-foot paved runway in 1977 and 1982. It was abandoned sometime between 1994 and 1997, with aerial views from 1997 showing "X" closed runway markings, and by 1998, it was depicted as an abandoned airfield. As of 2011, the runway remained intact but deteriorated, with no buildings or other aviation facilities visible.
