Doctors Memorial Hospital Heliport

The heliport is active and designated for private use for medical emergencies only. It is located on the grounds of Doctors' Memorial Hospital at 333 N Byron Butler Pkwy, Perry, Florida. The facility consists of a 40x40 foot concrete helipad. According to FAA records, it is owned by the Taylor County Board of County Commissioners and managed by the hospital. It continues to be used by helicopter air ambulance services serving the North Florida region.

Activated in April 1983, the Doctors' Memorial Hospital Heliport (FA39) has served as a critical piece of emergency medical infrastructure for Perry and the surrounding rural Taylor County for over four decades. Its sole function is to support medical evacuation (medevac) and air ambulance operations. It facilitates the rapid transport of critically ill or injured patients from the scene of an emergency or from the hospital to larger, more specialized trauma centers, such as those in Tallahassee or Gainesville. Its existence has been vital for improving patient outcomes in a region where distances between advanced medical facilities are significant.
