Williams Heliport

Cessation of private use. Williams Heliport was a privately owned, private-use facility located on a residential property. The closure was not due to any documented accident, military conversion, or public economic factors. The site is a private residential property. Satellite imagery confirms the location is a house with a large lawn. The former helipad area is now just part of the mowed grass, though a faint, weathered outline of the circular helipad marking is still visible on the ground. The site is no longer used for any aviation activities.

The heliport, officially known to the FAA as Williams Heliport (LID: 02IN), had local and private significance. It was owned by an individual, J.W. Williams, for personal use. Operations consisted of private helicopter flights from the residential property. The facility featured a 50 x 50 ft turf landing pad marked with a painted circle and 'H'. It served as a registered, private aviation base for its owner but had no known commercial, public, or military role.
