Official airport taxis can be found at a dedicated desk in the arrivals hall, offering fixed-rate fares. Ride-hailing services like Bolt and Uklon are also widely used and can be booked via their mobile apps for pick-up outside the terminal. The trip to the city center usually takes 20-30 minutes.
Several international and local car rental companies, including Sixt, Hertz, Avis, and Budget, have service desks located in the arrivals area of the terminal. It is advisable to book a vehicle in advance online for better rates and guaranteed availability.
The most budget-friendly options are public transit. Trolleybus No. 14 runs from the airport to the city center and the main railway station. Additionally, Marshrutka (minibus) No. 117 provides a connection to the city center. The bus stop is located a short walk from the terminal exit.
I landed in ODS in May 2010 on board a LOT E75 coming in from Warsaw. We used runway 16 which was in relatively poor condition, with lots of summarily repaired cracks.
I saw a few parked (for maintenance ?) aircraft including Yak-42 UR-CER in Fars Air Qeshm (Iran) color scheme.
The terminal building was outdated and not sized to handle significant traffic.
