Taxis

Taxis are a common way to get to the city center. You can find official taxi counters inside the arrivals hall or use the popular Russian ride-hailing app, Yandex.Go, for booking. The journey to the city center typically takes about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.

Rental Cars

Car rental services are available, primarily from local providers. It is highly recommended to book a vehicle in advance, especially given the extreme climate and specific vehicle requirements (e.g., winter tires). Rental desks may not be directly in the terminal, so confirm pickup arrangements when booking.

Public Transportation

Public buses offer an affordable connection to the city. The bus stop is located just outside the airport terminal. Key routes like Bus No. 4 and Bus No. 14 connect the airport to the city center and the main bus station (Avtovokzal). The travel time is approximately 25-30 minutes.

Brand new 1950's airport Posted by on March 29, 2015

This airport was only recently completed, and yet it is already ancient. A Canadian company did the design and engineering. The airport would be modern in 1950, but it sure as heck misses the mark today.
