Taxis are readily available just outside the arrivals terminal. Fares are not metered but are fixed by the government based on the destination zone. It is recommended to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The taxi stand is well-organized and easy to find upon exiting the airport.
Several local car rental agencies serve the airport, with some having desks in the terminal and others offering a meet-and-greet service. It is highly recommended to book your vehicle in advance. A valid driver's license from your home country and a temporary local Anguillian driver's license (which can be purchased from the rental agency) are required to drive.
There is no scheduled public bus, shuttle, or train service directly connecting to Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport. While the island has an informal public van system, it does not serve the airport terminal and is not a practical option for arriving travelers with luggage. Visitors should plan to use a taxi or a pre-booked rental car.
I have been to AXA around 10 times and the people were so nice! We got through customs fast and easily. The airport was clean and it was a 9/10 (the airport is a little small)
