Taxis are the most common form of transportation and are readily available at the airport to meet all arriving flights. The island's taxi drivers are well-known, and fares are generally fixed. They can also be hired for island tours.
Several local car rental agencies operate on the island, but none have a permanent desk inside the small airport terminal. It is essential to book a car in advance, and the rental company will arrange to meet you at the airport with your vehicle upon arrival. Driving on Saba is challenging due to very steep, narrow, and winding roads.
There is no public transportation system, such as buses or trains, on the island of Saba. The primary modes of transport are taxis, rental cars, or walking.
Juancho Y. Irausquin International Airport has a 400 metre runway! It is considered the shortest commercial runway in the world and has been updated at least thrice.
Here's a YouTube video of a landing — I love that they stop in time for the turnoff halfway down:

An airport with attitude. Cliffs and sea on both ends, only 1300 ft. long. Mountain on one side.
The Dutch engineers thought it couldn't be done. A french pilot said flatten the bumps, fill the holes and I'll land on it. They did and he did. Now it's rated as one of the world's most dangerous airports. Nevertheless, no serious accidents have occurred here. Just make sure you hit the numbers and that your brakes are in good condition. Otherwise, have a nice swim.
