Official taxis are readily available 24/7 just outside the arrivals hall. They are identifiable by the 'TX' on their license plates. Fares are not metered but are regulated by the government with fixed rates to major destinations and hotels. It is advisable to confirm the fare with the driver before beginning your journey.
Numerous international and local car rental agencies have service desks located in the arrivals hall. Major brands like Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, and Thrifty are present. Renting a car is a popular and convenient way to explore Curaçao. Pre-booking, especially during peak season, is highly recommended.
Public transportation is the most economical option. Large buses ('Konvoi') and smaller vans ('bus') connect the airport to downtown Willemstad (Punda and Otrabanda). The bus stop is a short walk from the terminal. This service is less frequent than other options, particularly on weekends and in the evenings, and may not be convenient for those with a lot of luggage.
