• Limited Public Access: Outside of scheduled events, Triple Tree Aerodrome operates as a private field. General public spectators often require membership in an aviation organization (e.g., EAA, AOPA) or must be a guest of a member to gain entry.
• No On-site Accommodation: There are no hotels directly on the property, so visitors are encouraged to utilize the extensive camping options or plan stays in nearby towns.
• Runway 03 Obstruction: As of February 2023, approximately the first 1,000 feet of Runway 03 is restricted from normal operations due to tree growth causing a visual obstruction, which may pose a safety risk for landing and departing traffic.
• Rental Car Logistics: Securing a rental car requires direct arrangements with Enterprise at the Spartanburg Airport (Blackstock Rd location), with a stated three-day minimum rental period.
• Navigation Challenges for Some Pilots: While arrival procedures are provided, some pilots have reported difficulty identifying visual waypoints like the "Enoree turn point" or "Red Roof," especially in hazy conditions. Additionally, some GPS systems may not display the SC00 identifier.
