Common Complaints

• Challenging Runways: The paved runway (15L/33R) is noted for being "bouncy" and relatively short and narrow (2,672 x 36 ft). Obstructions such as power lines at the north end and a busy road at the south end, along with trees on short final for RWY 33R, require careful navigation.
• Grass Runway Seasonality and Restrictions: The turf runway (15R/33L) is only open seasonally during the summer and is closed from November 1 to May 31.
• Noise Abatement and Operational Restrictions: Noise abatement procedures are in effect, particularly for departing Runway 33R/L, requiring a left turn to heading 290 at a safe altitude. Touch-and-gos and stop-and-gos are prohibited at the airport.
• Parking Limitations: While transient parking is available along the north-south taxiway, there are restrictions on parking in front of hangars or on grass/sod areas without special permission.
• Lack of Commercial Airport Amenities: As a general aviation airport, there are no extensive terminal facilities, security checkpoints, or customs/immigration services in the manner of a commercial airport.
