The primary 'taxi' service from the airport is the e-trike (electric tricycle). These are readily available outside the arrivals area to take you on the short ride to the Caticlan Jetty Port. Fares are typically fixed. Private van transfers can also be pre-booked with hotels or tour operators for a more direct service.
Car rental services are not available at Godofredo P. Ramos Airport. Renting a car is not a practical option as the main destination, Boracay Island, has heavy restrictions on private vehicles. Transportation on the island is primarily done by local e-trikes.
The public transit route to Boracay is a multi-step process. First, take an e-trike from the airport to the Caticlan Jetty Port (a 5-10 minute ride). From the port, you will take a public ferry or speedboat for the 10-15 minute crossing to Boracay Island. Upon arrival at Boracay's port, another e-trike will take you to your hotel.
