Official airport taxis (usually yellow or white vans) offer fixed, pre-paid rates to popular destinations and are available at the arrivals area dispatch bay. Regular metered taxis can also be found. For shorter trips to nearby resorts, tricycles are a common and cheaper alternative, though fares must be negotiated before starting the trip.
Several local and international car rental companies have service counters inside the arrivals hall. Options range from compact cars and SUVs to larger vans. It is highly recommended to book in advance, especially during peak tourist season. Scooter and motorcycle rentals are also a very popular option on the island, with many operators offering airport pick-up services.
Direct public bus or jeepney service from the terminal is not available. The primary public transit option is shared-ride vans (often called V-Hires or shuttles). These vans wait for passengers at the arrivals area and offer a fixed, per-person rate to common destinations like Alona Beach and the Dao Integrated Bus Terminal in Tagbilaran City, where you can connect to buses for other parts of Bohol.
