Taxis are available at a stand directly outside the terminal building. In addition to standard metered taxis, fixed-fare and shared taxi services are available to major destinations like Aomori City, Shin-Aomori Station, and Hirosaki. Shared taxis offer a more economical option but typically require advance reservation.
Several major car rental companies, including Toyota, Nissan, Orix, and Nippon Rent-A-Car, have service counters in the domestic arrivals lobby on the first floor. It is highly recommended to book a vehicle in advance, especially during peak travel seasons. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is required for many foreign drivers.
JR Bus Tohoku operates regular airport shuttle buses connecting to key destinations. The main route serves Aomori Station and Shin-Aomori Station (for Shinkansen access), taking approximately 35-55 minutes. Another route connects to Hirosaki Bus Terminal in about 55 minutes. Bus stops are located just outside the terminal entrance, and schedules are coordinated with flight arrivals.
