Taxis are readily available at the taxi stand located outside the domestic terminal arrivals exit. In addition to standard metered taxis, a shared taxi service called the 'Airport Liner' offers fixed-fare rides to specific zones in Kagoshima City, but requires a reservation. A typical ride to Kagoshima-Chuo Station takes about 40-60 minutes.
Multiple car rental companies, including Toyota, Nissan, Orix, and Times Car Rental, have service counters inside the domestic terminal building. After completing the check-in process at the counter, customers are transported via a short shuttle bus ride to the respective rental car lots to pick up their vehicles.
The main form of public transit is the Airport Limousine Bus. These buses provide frequent and direct service to major destinations such as Kagoshima-Chuo Station (approx. 40 minutes), the Tenmonkan downtown area (approx. 50 minutes), Ibusuki, and Kirishima. Tickets can be purchased from vending machines or a counter inside the domestic terminal arrival lobby before boarding.
