Circa 2015. Analysis of historical satellite imagery shows a well-defined, clear runway as late as 2014. By 2016, construction had commenced on the site, with roads for a new development being laid out directly over the airstrip.
Economic reasons and land redevelopment. The airpark was closed to make way for a real estate project. The value of the land for residential development surpassed its value as a private aviation facility.
The site has been completely redeveloped into a housing subdivision named 'Pradera Verde Residential Estates'. The main road within the subdivision precisely follows the alignment and length of the former runway. All aviation-related infrastructure has been removed, and the area is now occupied by homes, streets, and residential amenities.
Pradera Verde Executive Airpark was a privately owned and operated airfield serving the general aviation community. It featured a single unpaved (grass/dirt) runway. Its primary function was to provide convenient air access for private pilots, tourists, and business owners to the southern part of Cebu province, particularly the coastal town of Argao and its surrounding resorts. The airpark catered to small, light aircraft (such as single-engine Cessnas or Pipers) capable of operating from a short, unimproved strip. It was never a commercial airport and did not handle scheduled passenger flights.
Zero. The land has been permanently and fully converted to residential use. With a housing development built directly on top of the former airport grounds, there is no possibility of it ever being restored or reopened as an airfield.
