Shindand Air Base (OASD/OAH) is a military air base located in the western part of Afghanistan, in the Shindand District of Herat Province, approximately seven miles (11 km) northeast of the city of Shindand.

- Historical Significance: The Soviet Armed Forces began building an airfield near Shindand in 1961 and heavily used it during the Soviet–Afghan War. It was one of the largest Afghan Air Force bases and has been used for U.S.-led undergraduate pilot training for the Afghan Air Force between 2012 and 2014. It was also considered the future main training facility for the Afghan Air Force. The base fell to the Taliban in August 2021.
