Kaufana Airport (IATA: EUA, ICAO: NFTE) is the sole airfield serving the island of 'Eua, providing an essential air link to Tonga's main island, Tongatapu. As the primary gateway for visitors and a vital connection for residents, the airport plays a crucial role in the island's tourism sector and accessibility. While modest in scale, its function is fundamental to the local economy. The airfield has served the island for decades, operating as a simple but reliable facility designed to accommodate the specific needs of inter-island travel in the Tongan archipelago. Located in the southern part of 'Eua, the airport is situated approximately 3 kilometers from the main settlement of 'Ohonua. Travelers typically reach their accommodations via pre-arranged transfers provided by local guesthouses and tour operators, which is the most common and recommended method. Taxis are available on the island but may need to be booked in advance, as they do not typically wait at the airport for unscheduled fares. The drive from the airport to most accommodations is brief, generally taking less than 15 minutes.

Airport operations are exclusively domestic. Kaufana Airport facilitates one of the world's shortest scheduled commercial flights, an eight-minute journey to and from Fuaʻamotu International Airport (TBU) on Tongatapu. This route is operated by Tonga's national carrier, Lulutai Airlines, using small turboprop aircraft suitable for the short runway. Given the aircraft size and flight frequency, passenger volume is low and primarily consists of tourists and local residents. There are no international services, and all travelers arriving from overseas must first fly into Tongatapu to connect to 'Eua.

The facilities at Kaufana Airport are basic and reflect its role as a small, regional airfield. The terminal consists of a single, small building that houses a check-in counter, a modest waiting area, and rudimentary restroom facilities. There are no retail shops, restaurants, cafes, ATMs, or currency exchange services available on-site. Passengers are advised to bring their own snacks, water, and any necessary Tongan Pa'anga currency with them before arriving at the airport for departure.
