Current satellite imagery shows the faint outline of the runway, but it is unmaintained, partially overgrown with vegetation, and is now used as a farm track or access road for the agricultural operations on the property. The airport held only local significance as a private aerodrome (aeródromo). It consisted of a single dirt/gravel runway approximately 950 meters (3,100 feet) long. Its operations were limited to general aviation and agricultural aviation, likely supporting the surrounding pecan and walnut orchards with crop dusting, aerial surveying, and providing private air transport for the landowners. It never handled commercial, scheduled, or public flights. The identifier 'MX-2453' is not an official ICAO code but a non-standard identifier used in some unofficial databases.

There are no known official plans or prospects for reopening the Arroyo Seco Airport. Its reopening would be entirely dependent on a new private owner having a specific need for an airstrip and the financial resources to clear, restore, and maintain the runway. Given its remote location and the nature of its previous use, any prospect for reopening is considered extremely low.
