The land is unused and appears to have reverted to its natural state.

Los Berrendos Airport was a private airfield with purely local significance. Its name, 'Los Berrendos' (The Pronghorns), strongly suggests it served a large private ranch or hunting lodge in the remote Chihuahuan Desert. When active, it handled general aviation aircraft, such as small single-engine planes (e.g., Cessnas, Pipers). Operations would have been limited to transporting the property owners, guests, and supplies, as well as potentially supporting ranching or hunting activities. It never served commercial, scheduled, or public flights.

There are no known plans or prospects for reopening Los Berrendos Airport. Given its remote location, the complete lack of infrastructure, and the disappearance of its original private purpose, the likelihood of it being reopened is virtually zero. It holds no strategic or commercial value that would warrant the significant investment needed for its restoration and operation.
