The Essentia Health Virginia Hospital Heliport (MN16) is a private, operational heliport located approximately 1 mile northwest of Virginia, Minnesota. It is owned by Essentia Health Virginia Hospital and managed by Brad Lehman. The heliport features a single helipad (H1) with dimensions of 50 x 50 feet (15 x 15 meters) and a mat surface. Permission is required prior to landing.
Historically, the Virginia Regional Medical Center (now Essentia Health Virginia Hospital) opened a new helipad on the roof of its four-story building in 2007 to allow for quicker patient transfers, eliminating the need to transport patients by ground ambulance to off-site landing areas.
