Taxis are available 24/7 directly outside the domestic terminal arrivals exit. They are metered and provide service to nearby popular destinations like Edremit, Akçay, Altınoluk, and Ayvalık. The taxi stand operates in coordination with flight schedules.
Several car rental companies have desks inside the arrivals hall of the terminal. Major international and local brands like Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and Garenta are present. Pre-booking online, especially during the peak summer season, is highly recommended to secure a vehicle and potentially better rates.
Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality (BTT) operates public bus services from the airport. The bus schedules are synchronized with flight arrival and departure times. These buses provide an economical connection to the Edremit bus terminal (Otogar), Akçay, and other nearby coastal towns.
The Edremit Korfez Airport is currently located in some miles north of Burhaniye, and aircrafts which are their final vector for runway 05 can be easily observed from Oren Beach, just like St. Marteen.
