🇪🇸 Rota Naval Station Airport

Rota Naval Station Airport (LERT), also known as Cádiz/Rota, is a military aerodrome located 2 km northeast of Rota, Spain. It is a Spain-USA joint-use aerodrome, primarily for exclusive military use, supporting both IFR and VFR traffic. The airport is administered by the Armada Española (Spanish Navy).

Notable features include its strategic location as the "Gateway to the Mediterranean," providing logistical support and a strategic presence for U.S. and NATO forces. The facility includes a 670-acre airfield and is situated on a larger 6,100-acre Spanish Navy base. It offers cargo, fuel (F-34), and logistics support, and has the largest weapons and fuels facilities in Europe within a single secure fence-line. The airport operates 24 hours a day.

As of October 2026, the airport is fully operational, with a runway (10/28) measuring 3690 x 61 meters, capable of handling heavy aircraft with a PCN of 68/F/A/W/T.
