🇺🇸 Ashland Municipal Airport Sumner Parker Field

Ashland Municipal Airport, also known as Sumner Parker Field (FAA LID: S03, IATA: AHM), is a publicly owned general aviation airport located two miles east of Ashland, in Jackson County, Oregon, United States. It is categorized as a general aviation facility.

The airport features *one asphalt runway*, designated 12/30, which measures 3,603 by 75 feet (1,098 x 23 m). It is situated at an elevation of 1,889 feet (576 m). The airport primarily supports *general aviation activities* such as flight training, aircraft maintenance, and recreational flying, with over 80 aircraft based there. It may also be used by air freight operators when nearby Rogue Valley International/Medford Airport is closed due to adverse weather. There is no control tower at this facility.

Historically, the airstrip was developed by local pilot Sumner Parker on his property and activated as a public facility in April 1947, initially leased to the City of Ashland. The city purchased the property in 1964 and formally established it as a municipal airport in 1965, eventually naming it Sumner Parker Field in honor of its founder in 1968.
