Dallas Executive Airport (KRBD (RBD)) is a public-use, general aviation reliever airport located approximately six miles southwest of Downtown Dallas in Dallas County, Texas, United States. Owned by the City of Dallas and operated by its Department of Aviation, it serves general aviation, corporate, and private travelers.
The airport features two runways:
- Runway 13/31: Measures 7,136 by 100 feet (2,175 x 30 m) with an asphalt/concrete or concrete/grooved surface.
- Runway 17/35: Measures 3,800 by 150 feet (1,158 x 46 m) with an asphalt/concrete or concrete surface.
Dallas Executive Airport's uses include private aviation, flight training, and corporate flights, and it houses the Dallas Police Department's helicopters. It also acts as a reliever airport for Dallas Love Field. Historically known as Redbird Airport, it was established in 1944 and officially renamed Dallas Executive Airport on May 1, 2002, to better market its amenities. The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) established its national headquarters and main museum at the airport in 2016.
