Notable Features or History: Originally a sod airfield in the late 1920s, a concrete runway opened in November 1938. From 1941 to 1944, the United States Army Air Forces used the facility as part of the British Flying Training School Program during World War II, training Royal Air Force and USAAF cadets. The airport has a single concrete runway, 17/35, measuring 7,201 by 100 feet. It is equipped with high-intensity runway edge lights and precision instrument markings. The airport has not had airline service since August 2006, with Great Lakes Airlines being the final carrier.
