Moffett Federal Airfield (IATA: NUQ, ICAO: KNUQ, FAA LID: NUQ), also known as Moffett Field, is a joint civil-military airport located in Santa Clara County, California, between northern Mountain View and northern Sunnyvale.
Type of facility and operations: Moffett Federal Airfield is a public/military airport. It is operated by NASA Ames Research Center, with Google's subsidiary Planetary Ventures leasing 1,000 acres of the property for 60 years since 2014. The airport is available for private, corporate, and charter aircraft, though prior permission is required for landing,. Tenant military activities include the 129th Rescue Wing of the California Air National Guard. NASA also operates its own aircraft from Moffett.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is relocating its West Coast science center to the Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, with full relocation scheduled by the end of 2024. Hangar Three was demolished in stages beginning in Summer 2024 due to being cost-prohibitive to repair.
