Topeka Regional Airport (IATA: FOE, ICAO: KFOE, FAA LID: FOE), also known as Forbes Field, is a joint civil-military public airport located seven miles south of downtown Topeka, Kansas. It is owned by the Metropolitan Topeka Airport Authority.

Type of facility and operations: The airport is open to the public and has a control tower that operates daily from 5:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.. During non-towered times, pilot-controlled lighting is available. Services include fuel (100LL and Jet-A), major airframe and engine repair, and transient storage (hangars and tiedowns). The airport also offers air freight services, charter flights, pilot instruction, aircraft rental, and aircraft sales. In the year ending October 31, 2021, the airport had 30,086 aircraft operations, with 60% military, 38% general aviation, 1% air taxi, and less than 1% airline.

Notable features or history: Originally Topeka Army Air Field, it later became Forbes Air Force Base, a Strategic Air Command (SAC) facility. Forbes AFB closed in 1973, but a USAF presence was maintained by the Air National Guard. In 2012, the facility was renamed Topeka Regional Airport and Business Center, while the airfield retained the name Forbes Field. It is currently home to the Kansas Air National Guard's 190th Air Refueling Wing and the 1st Battalion, 108th Aviation Regiment, Kansas Army National Guard. The airport covers 2,854 acres and has two concrete runways: 13/31, which is 12,803 by 200 feet, and 3/21, which is 7,001 by 150 feet. The primary runway (13-31) is in excess of 12,800 feet long.

Current status: The airport is operational. As of September 2, 2014, the airport has had no airline service. The FAA reports the airport status as "On Time" with fair weather.
