- Uses: The airport supports a variety of aviation activities, including business, recreation, and extensive fixed-wing and helicopter flight training. It is home to over 800 based aircraft and hosts more than 130 on-airport businesses providing aviation services such as maintenance, avionics, fueling, and aircraft manufacturing. - Historical Significance: Established in 1941 during World War II, Falcon Field originally served as a military airport to train British Royal Air Force and American pilots. The Falcon Field World War II Aviation Hangars were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
