Charlevoix Municipal Airport (KCVX) is a city-owned, public-use airport that serves as a key general aviation gateway to the popular resort communities of Northern Michigan. Located approximately one mile southwest of downtown Charlevoix, the airport provides essential air access for tourism, business travel, and recreational flying. Its proximity to the city center makes it a practical entry point for visitors, who typically reach the facility by car, taxi, or pre-booked rental vehicles via US Route 31.

Opened in April 1940, the airport has long supported the region's transportation infrastructure. It has historically been a hub for private pilots and has accommodated seasonal and charter air services that cater to the area's significant tourist economy. The airport’s operations are primarily focused on general aviation, serving a mix of single-engine private planes, corporate jets, and air charter services.
