Ashley Municipal Airport (KASY (ASY)) is a public-use airport located one nautical mile southeast of Ashley, North Dakota, in McIntosh County, United States. The airport is owned by the Ashley Municipal Airport Authority.
It primarily serves general aviation and some private flights. For the 12-month period ending April 26, 2023, the airport reported 5,000 aircraft operations, with 90% being general aviation, 4% air taxi, and 6% military. There were 13 aircraft based at the airport during that time.
The airport covers an area of 127 acres at an elevation of 2,034 feet above mean sea level. It features one asphalt runway, designated 14/32, measuring 4,364 by 60 feet (1,330 x 18 m). Runway 14/32 has medium intensity edge lighting (MIRL) and a Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) on both ends. The facility is unattended, but 100LL and Jet A fuel are available.
Ashley Municipal Airport was recognized as the "2023 General Aviation Airport of the Year" by the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission. The airport is actively developing instrument approach procedures to facilitate medical flights during adverse weather conditions. It joined the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) in 2017, enabling significant infrastructure improvements, and was the first airport in North Dakota to implement the FAA's Weather Camera program.
