Iwatsubo Heliport

It is presumed to have been closed for internal business reasons, such as the high cost of helicopter operation and maintenance, the sale of the aircraft, or a change in the company's logistical needs, rendering the heliport obsolete.

The site is the active headquarters and main operational yard for the Yoshida-gumi Co., Ltd. construction company. The paved area that once served as the helipad is now fully utilized for parking company vehicles (trucks, excavators) and storing construction materials and equipment. The painted 'H' marking is extremely faded but still faintly discernible in recent satellite images.

Iwatsubo Heliport was a private, non-public heliport with no scheduled passenger or cargo services. Its sole purpose was to serve the operations of its owner, the Yoshida-gumi Co., Ltd. construction company, whose headquarters are located on the site. The helicopter was likely used for executive transport, aerial surveying of construction projects in the mountainous Tottori Prefecture, and rapid deployment of personnel or light equipment to remote work sites.

There are no known plans or prospects for reopening the heliport. The land is integral to the current, ground-based operations of the construction company, and there is no indication that they intend to resume aviation activities.
