Standard taxi services are not available at this remote airstrip. Ground transportation is almost exclusively provided by the lodge itself. Guests are met upon arrival by a representative from Mara Serena Safari Lodge in a 4x4 safari vehicle for the transfer to the lodge. These transfers must be pre-booked as part of your accommodation package.
There are no car rental agencies or depots at the Mara Serena Lodge Airstrip. The concept of self-drive rental from the airstrip is not a viable option. All vehicles are owned and operated by the safari lodges or tour companies for guided game drives and transfers.
There is no public transportation, such as buses or trains, available to or from the Mara Serena Lodge Airstrip. The airstrip is located deep within the Maasai Mara National Reserve, and all transportation is private and must be arranged in advance with your lodge or tour operator.
There is no airport here. This must be confused with Mara Serena Lodge Airstrip which is a few miles north of here
