Rufforth West Airfield (GB-1209) is a small private general aviation aerodrome located in York, North Yorkshire, England, approximately 3.9 nautical miles west of York city centre. It is operated by the York Gliding Centre.

The airfield has runways 17, 35, and 23, with runway 17/35 being 1200m x 46m asphalt. The airfield elevation is 65 feet above mean sea level (AMSL). Rufforth West Airfield is primarily used for gliding, accommodating gliders, touring motor gliders, tug aircraft, and other light private aircraft. Prior permission is required for all aircraft intending to land.

Historically, the site was RAF Rufforth, a purpose-built bomber airfield constructed in 1941 and opened in 1942 during World War II. It served as a base for 158 Squadron flying Halifax bombers and later as a Heavy Conversion Unit for Halifax crews. The RAF decommissioned the site in 1974, and the Ministry of Defence sold it in 1981. The former RAF airfield is now divided into Rufforth West and Rufforth East.
