Circa late 2000s to early 2010s. An exact date is not publicly recorded. Analysis of historical satellite imagery shows a clear, maintained grass runway in 2006, but by 2012, the land shows signs of being plowed over and returned to agricultural use. By 2016, the runway is no longer distinguishable from the surrounding fields.
Abandonment and conversion back to agricultural land. The airfield was a small, private platform for ultralight aircraft. Its closure was most likely due to the private owner ceasing aviation activities or selling the land. This is a common reason for the closure of small, private airfields, and there is no public record of a specific accident, regulatory action, or major economic event forcing its closure.
The site has been fully reclaimed for agriculture. The coordinates now point to the middle of a cultivated field. There are no visible remnants of the runway, taxiways, or any aviation-related buildings. The land is indistinguishable from the surrounding farmland.
The airfield was a private ultralight (ULM) platform, known locally as 'Base ULM de la Vigne Blanche'. Its operations were limited to recreational flying for ultralight and microlight aircraft. It consisted of a simple grass runway (approximately 450 meters long) and likely minimal facilities, such as a windsock and possibly a small hangar. It served the local private aviation community and did not handle any commercial, cargo, or military traffic. Its ICAO code, FR-0750, was a national identifier for small airfields not part of the main public aviation infrastructure.
There are no known plans or prospects for reopening the airfield. The land is privately owned and is in active agricultural use. Re-establishing an airfield would require significant private investment, land acquisition, and new permits, making it highly improbable.
