La Grosse Ferme Florimont ULM

The closure was most likely due to administrative or regulatory reasons. Satellite imagery shows the area of the former runway is now used for farming (cultivation or pasture) and is indistinguishable from the surrounding fields. The farm itself remains active, but all aviation infrastructure is gone.

La Grosse Ferme Florimont was a private ultralight (ULM) airfield. Its significance was entirely local, serving as a recreational base for the owner and potentially other pilots with permission. It consisted of a single grass runway, approximately 450 meters (1,475 feet) long, situated on active farmland. Operations were limited to private ultralight aircraft, such as fixed-wing ultralights, trikes (pendulaires), and gyrocopters. It was a characteristic example of the many small, private airfields that support general and recreational aviation in rural France.

There are no known plans or public prospects for the airfield to reopen. As a private airstrip on private land, any potential reopening would depend entirely on the landowner's initiative to re-apply for authorization under current, and potentially more stringent, French aviation regulations. The likelihood of this is considered extremely low.
