Langebaanweg Airport (FALW/SDB) is an active military airbase of the South African Air Force (SAAF), officially known as Air Force Base (AFB) Langebaanweg, located in Langebaanweg, Western Cape, South Africa.

Type of Facility and Operations: AFB Langebaanweg primarily serves as a training hub for pilots and instructors, housing the SAAF's Central Flying School (CFS). It supports basic aerobatics, tactical, and night flying instruction using aircraft such as Pilatus PC-7 Mk II Astras, with approximately 60 of these aircraft operating from the base. The SAAF's Silver Falcons aerobatic display team is also based at Langebaanweg. The facility also includes 2 Air Servicing Unit for technical support and 526 Squadron for protection. The airport operates Monday through Friday during specific hours and is not an airport of entry for customs.

Notable Features and History: Planning for an aerodrome at Langebaanweg began in 1942 during World War II to enhance Allied air training capabilities. Operations officially commenced in February 1946 with the arrival of the first aircraft. The base has undergone several name changes, including Bomber Gunnery and Air Navigation School and Air Force Station Langebaanweg, before being redesignated as Air Force Base Langebaanweg in 2001. A significant historical event was the relocation of the Central Flying School to Langebaanweg in December 1992. The base's motto is "Tenax Propisiti Vinco," meaning "Through Tenacity Comes Success." It features multiple asphalt runways, with the longest primary runway measuring 7,690 x 151 feet (2,344 x 46 meters). In December 2023, AFB Langebaanweg received its official military Colour.
