Valdeperdices

The airfield was a private facility located on the 'Finca Valdeperdices' estate. The closure was almost certainly due to private reasons, such as the owner no longer having a need for the airstrip, the sale of the estate, or the high cost of maintenance for infrequent use. There is no evidence to suggest it was closed due to a specific accident, military conversion, or regulatory action.

The site is part of the private Finca Valdeperdices. The former dirt runway is still clearly visible on satellite imagery but is unmaintained, significantly overgrown with vegetation, and completely unusable for aviation. The land has reverted to general use by the estate, likely for agriculture or as undeveloped rural land.

The airfield's significance was purely local and private. It was an 'aeródromo privado' (private airfield) built to serve the Finca Valdeperdices, a large rural hunting and agricultural estate. Operations would have been limited to light general aviation aircraft, such as single-engine propeller planes, used by the estate's owner or their guests for recreational flying or private transportation. It never served public or commercial purposes.

There are no known plans, proposals, or prospects for reopening the Valdeperdices airfield. Given its private nature, remote location, and the cost required to restore it to an operational condition, a reopening is considered extremely unlikely.
