Redhill Aerodrome

Redhill Aerodrome (EGKR) is an operational general aviation aerodrome located 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 km; 1.7 mi) southeast of Redhill, Surrey, England. It holds a CAA Ordinary Licence allowing flights for public transport of passengers or flying instruction.

• Runways: The aerodrome primarily uses three grass runways for fixed-wing aircraft: 18/36 (851m x 25m), 07R/25L (897m x 30m), and 07L/25R (683m x 23m). There is also an unlicensed asphalt taxiway (06/24). Two grass helistrips (07H/25H and 18H/36H) are also available.
• Known Uses: It is used for general aviation business, charter/air taxi, private flying, and flight training. It has also been a significant helicopter maintenance and training base, notably for Bristow Helicopters for many years.
• Historical Significance: The airfield came into use in the 1930s for private flying and served as an alternative to Croydon Airport. It was a military aerodrome during World War II, hosting No. 15 Elementary and Reserve Flying Training School RAF. After returning to civilian use, it became a base for the Tiger Club and Bristow Helicopters.
