The airfield features a single asphalt runway, designated 15/33, which is 485 meters (1,591 feet) long and 12 meters (39 feet) wide, at an elevation of 410 meters (1,345 feet) above mean sea level. Operated by the Flugsportverein Passau – Fürstenzell e. V. (Passau – Fürstenzell Flight Sports Club), it facilitates glider, ultralight, and motor flying training, as well as scenic flights over Passau. The airfield is also used by the Fallschirmsport-Club Passau (Passau Parachute Sports Club) and has been open to the public since its establishment in 1963.
