Detailed ground transportation information for Iroquois Airport is being prepared. This includes information about taxis, rental cars, and public transportation options.
Taxis are typically available outside arrival terminals at most airports.
Major rental car companies typically have counters at airports with commercial service.
Many airports offer bus or train connections to nearby city centers.
To the east of here, along the St Lawrence River, you can see the old Highway 2, several sideroads, and even some village street grids and lots under the water. They were submerged with the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway in 1959, and flying over them is still an interesting (and creepy) experience.

are there scheduled commercial flights that fly between local towns - i.e. Carp-Iroquois airport?
Flew here for the breakfast 2010-07-18. PPR, Narrow runway (75' total, but only the centre portion is paved). Very friendly people, great breakfast - they had a separate lineup for pilots/passengers vs. the local residents and campers. Be sure to sign the guestbook.
The airport allows camping, and is only a few minutes' walk from restaurants and lodging, but you need permission to land:

Nice little strip. There's a fairly large grass parking area just north of the field that's coned off. It's close to the road, but I didn't see any tie-downs. There's also private hangars off the west end of the runway. The runway is in decent shape, but there's often lots of gulls sitting (and crapping!) on it.
