Honghe Mengzi Airport / Mengzi Air Base (CN-0043) is a dual-use military and civil airport under construction in Mengzi City, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan province, China. It is designed to handle A320/B737-class aircraft.
The airport was first proposed in 1999, but its development was delayed due to complications with the existing military Mengzi Air Base. In October 2012, the project received approval from the State Council and the Central Military Commission of China to build a dual-use facility, with an estimated investment of 3 billion yuan. Construction officially began on November 17, 2020.
As of now, the civil terminal is not yet open, and there are no scheduled passenger or cargo services. The airport has one runway, 14/32. It is located in Daguoxi Village, Yuguopu Town.
