There is no dedicated taxi stand at the seaplane base. Visitors must call one of the local Powell River taxi companies for a pickup. It is highly recommended to pre-book your ride, especially during peak travel times.

Maurie Mercer was BC Airlines base pilot on Powell Lake in 1958 when I was working for Bill Gaston at the little Shell station there. Mauie gave me my first airplane ride. It was a Cessna 170..
