Local taxi companies serve the Tofino area. Since the seaplane base is located directly in the town centre, taxis can be easily called upon arrival for transportation to local accommodations, restaurants, and attractions.
There are no car rental counters at the seaplane base itself. Major rental agencies are located at the Tofino-Long Beach Airport (YAZ), about a 20-minute drive away. Visitors must pre-book a vehicle and take a taxi to the airport to pick it up.
BC Transit operates a bus service connecting Tofino and Ucluelet. The main bus stops in Tofino are on Campbell Street, just a short walk from the seaplane harbour. I didn't know if I'd find this one in here but I did! My one and only sea plane ride. I swear the pilot had been sipping some whiskey when he came to pick us up, but he did take us for spectacular plane ride along the coast.
