Approximately between 2012 and 2015. The aerodrome was listed in the Canada Flight Supplement (CFS) as late as 2012 but was removed by the 2015 edition. Satellite imagery from the period shows the runway becoming progressively less maintained and eventually overgrown.
Cessation of private operations. As a privately owned and operated airstrip, its closure was likely due to personal reasons of the owner, such as retirement from flying, sale of the property, or no longer wishing to maintain the facility. There is no evidence to suggest military conversion, a major accident, or broader economic factors led to its closure.
The site is now private agricultural land. Satellite imagery clearly shows that the former runway area has been returned to farmland, likely used as a hay field. While the faint outline of the 2000-foot runway is still visible from the air, it is completely overgrown and unusable for aviation. The associated private residence and a large shed, which may have served as a hangar, still exist on the property.
Ruissellet Rd Strip was a registered private aerodrome with no major historical significance beyond its use for local, recreational aviation. When active, it featured a single turf runway (14/32) with dimensions of approximately 2000 feet by 75 feet. Official aviation publications from the 2000s indicate it was primarily used for ultralight aircraft operations. The operator was listed as a private individual, G. Goyette, who used the strip for personal flying activities from the adjacent private residence.
There are no known plans or prospects for reopening the airstrip. As it is on private property, any potential for reopening would be entirely at the discretion and expense of the current landowner. Given that the land has been repurposed for agriculture for nearly a decade, a return to aviation use is considered highly unlikely.
